Spring Holiday English Camp: Immersion

Spring Camp in 100% English, 100% of the time!

* We will provide different activities depending on the weather and snow conditions. Please read below carefully before signing up for camp.

Each day, weather permitting, we will be either hitting the slopes to ski in the beautiful warm, spring landscape of Tsunan, Niigata or enjoying your favorite camp activities. And that's just the beginning! Not a typical ski tour, English Adventure Spring Camp is a complete experience with all of the fun activities and camp traditions that we’re famous for.

Our kitchen serves up an international menu of delicious, nutritious food to give campers the energy they need. And of course, Immersion campers and staff speak 100% English, 100% of the time, with no Japanese allowed. It's like a spring vacation overseas—without the plane ticket!

Five-Day Camp

After many requests to extend the traditional four-day camp, we are running the five-day Spring Camp!

Campers will have more time to bond with other campers and and get the most out of their vacation. Seats are limited!

Here's what makes English Adventure Spring Camp still awesome if skiing is not possible:

1. EA summer camp vibes but with new and unique, Spring, activities
High up in the mountains of Tsunan, snow stays around a lot longer than most places. If we aren’t able to ski, there will most likely be still enough snow to enjoy some snow related activities. From Sledding, hiking in the warm spring air, walking on snow through the forest and forest games like you have never seen before. To, electives like, bouldering, gaga, English games, and team building games.

2. Team building
Getting to make new friends and rekindling old friendships. This camp will focus on team building and learning to build relationships with campers from all over Japan. With previous Spring camps, many campers are repeaters and rekindling old friendships is a unique part of the magic of spring camp. First time campers also reap the benefits of having repeater campers at camp as the support and show how much fun camp can be by leading and guiding new campers.

3. Amazing, International Staff
All of our Immersion Staff staff are native level English speakers, so campers will be exposed to English all day, every day. This is a unique opportunity to communicate and spend time with staff from all over the world in a fully immersive 100% English environment.

Here's what makes English Adventure Spring Camp awesome if we are able to ski:

1. 100% English all the time
Even during ski lessons, Immersion Campers will not speak or be spoken to in Japanese. All of our instructors are English speakers, so even technical skiing points will be conveyed in English.

2. Five days of skiing (Weather Permitting)
Each day, your child will have a chance to try, learn and grow their skiing ability. For more experienced skiers, your child will be able to hone their skills and test their limits!

3. Ski-in / Ski-out location
English Adventure’s private lodge is located right next to our gorgeous ski hill. Our site is ski-in / ski-out so your child can enjoy spring fun from the time they arrive and until the time they get back home!

4. Large and private ski hill
Our lodge and ski slope are privately run by English Adventure. That means that we control who is using our lift and runs, and campers don’t have to worry about crowded slopes or long lift lines, so campers will learn to ski in a controlled, safe environment. Our large private ski hill will allow for your child to enjoy skiing regardless of ability level!

5. Skill-dependent lessons
We separate lessons depending on your child’s skiing ability. For example, beginner lessons will start with how to put on ski boots and use equipment. More experienced skiers will be able learn various skills to better their skiing ability. We separate skill into three ski levels and within those levels, we will move campers based on their progression:

** Ski level definitions have been updated. Please read below carefully even if your child has joined our ski camp before.

[Beginner 0-5 times]For campers who have never skied before to campers who are just learning to ski! We will teach all the basics, from putting on boots and using ski lifts to safely making their way down the hill while being guided by their instructor.

[Intermediate 5-10 times]This level is for children who have been skiing enough to be able to confidently make their way down the hill on their own. They can stop with their skis parallel to each other, and have full control of their movement up to a certain speed.

[Advanced 10+ times]This level is for children who have skied many times. They have full confidence skiing on advanced ski courses.
