The best way to find out what it's like to work at camp is to ask the staff themselves! Below are some rockstar staff that are proud to be apart of the ever-growing English Adventure family!

English Adventure team members come from many walks of life, but what joins us together is our love of nature and the opportunity to work with children as they grow.

Ed (Philippines) – Summer Manager/Winter Kitchen Admin

Staff "I had an amazing summer at English Adventure! It is always the best feeling every time I need to leave my busy city life to join the camps for a few weeks, knowing that I’ll be welcomed with fresh air, epic mountains, and a bunch of fantastic people! Working at EA provided me with a lot of great experiences and opportunities. Aside from sharing endless laughter with the kids under the sun and providing them with the best summer experience, I was also making a lot of friends from various countries, learning more about myself, discovering new potential within myself, and developing my leadership and communication skills, all at the same time! Here, I can get the power to do incredible things. I am looking forward to being a part of every awesome EA camp!"

Zee (Uzbekistan) – Camp Manager/Team Leader

Staff
"Getting to know EA is one of my most incredible experiences living in Japan. It is a place of small wonderland not only for the campers but also for the staff. Be in nature, play all day, swim in the lake, kayak, sing, dance, hike, roast marshmallows, and make new friends worldwide! That's my typical EA summer! I can't stress enough how much EA taught me. It is a place where I grow every time I come. Most importantly, I learned it is ok to be myself, to make the inner child happy! I obtained leadership skills, communication skills, and the superpower of finding positive solutions to possible problems. Also, for a non-native English speaker such as myself, it was a fantastic place to hear an incredible amount of various English accents! EA is a place of self-growth, reconnecting with nature, and becoming a kid with the campers! I would have never been able to meet so many amazing people from all over the world, wasn't it for EA!"

Kate (Australia/Japan) – Camp Manager/Team Leader

Staff
"I started working as a Team Leader for English Adventure the summer between finishing High School and starting University. It was one of the most challenging but rewarding summers of my life. Since then, I've come back to camp 4 more times. I find that camp helps me to centre my perspective on what's important in life. I've also created memories and friends for life. I recommend English Adventure for people who love working with kids (this is important!), are happy to look silly in front of their colleagues, and don't mind working hard and being challenged."

English Adventure's sister organization, NPO Mirai no Mori, creates life-changing outdoor experiences for abused, neglected, and orphaned Japanese children. Learn more about how you can help.
