We live and play together in English, with ability-specific programs for children from absolute beginner to native level. English isn’t a school subject here – it’s a tool for connecting, creating, and having fun!
Our residential camps nourish both independence and interdependence – a sense of self along with care for others. Children build their self-confidence and social skills in a supportive values-driven environment.
Each day, weather permitting, we will be either hitting the slopes to ski in the beautiful landscape of Tsunan, Niigata or enjoying your favorite camp activities. Not a typical ski tour, English Adventure Winter Camp is a complete experience with all of the fun activities and camp traditions that we’re famous for.
Our private campsite is a former ski resort in the mountains of Niigata, Japan. It’s one huge reason that English Adventure camps are so special. Cool forests, wide open fields, a private lake, indoor activity spaces, comfortable lodging and dining facilities – it’s got it all. An easy journey from Tokyo, it’s a world away from city life. Summer 2025 News
New! Glamping Site
As soon as the snow melts, we will set up new glamping sites. Thanks to the many campers who have joined us on our English Adventure, we will be increasing the number of tents we set up over the next few years, as we are running out of room in the lodge alone. This summer, 5th and 6th graders will be staying at this site.
Separate sessions held for each English level
As repeat families know, in the past we have offered all English programs (English Challenge, English Challenge Plus, and English Challenge for Returnees and Native English speakers) in all eight sessions of summer camp. This summer, four sessions will offer only the English Challenge and English Challenge Plus programs, while the remaining four sessions will offer the English Challenge and English Challenge Plus programs. This change will create an environment in which no Japanese is spoken anywhere on the camp site during the sessions for returnee and native English speakers. At the same time, the English Challenge and English Challenge Plus sessions will also provide an environment for English English Challenge and English Challenge Plus sessions will also provide an environment for the program. We have devised a way to dramatically increase exposure to and opportunities to actually speak English. We have devised a number of ways to make it easier than ever for students to experience and actually speak English.
