Live and play in English
We live and play together in English, with ability-specific programs for children from absolute beginner to native level. English isn’t a school subject here – it’s a tool for connecting, creating, and having fun!
Private slope - it's all ours
Each day, weather permitting, we will be either hitting the slopes to ski in the beautiful landscape of Tsunan, Niigata or enjoying your favorite camp activities. Not a typical ski tour, English Adventure Winter Camp is a complete experience with all of the fun activities and camp traditions that we’re famous for.
Help young people grow
Our residential camps nourish both independence and interdependence – a sense of self along with care for others. Children build their self-confidence and social skills in a supportive values-driven environment.
Skill-dependent ski lessons
We separate lessons depending on your child’s skiing ability. Please register your child’s level when you sign up for camp.
Ski experience: 0-5 times
Beginner
For campers who have never skied before to campers who are just learning to ski! We will teach all the basics, from putting on boots and using ski lifts to safely making their way down the hill while being guided by their instructor.
Ski experience: 5-10 times
Intermediate
This level is for children who have been skiing enough to be able to confidently make their way down the hill on their own. They can stop with their skis parallel to each other, and have full control of their movement up to a certain speed.
Ski experience: 10 times or more
Advanced
This level is for children who have skied many times. They have full confidence skiing on advanced ski courses.

Why We Love Spring Camp
✔︎ Campers get English AND Skiing
Campers in the English Immersion Program will be surrounded by English around the clock—ski lessons included.
In the English Challenge Program, campers will hear plenty of English, learn new words and phrases, and practice using them in a fun, supportive environment while enjoying camp life and activities.
✔︎ Amazing location
Our private campsite is located at a former ski resort in the mountains of Niigata, Japan. Tsunan, known as one of the snowiest areas in the country, typically enjoys a deep blanket of snow at this time of year. Just outside our cozy lodge, campers will find a private ski slope covered in white. To make participation easier for families, our camp also includes round-trip transportation from Tokyo.

Q&A
A. We plan to have skiing during the Spring Break English Camp, but it will depend on the weather. In addition, there must be sufficient snowfall for safe skiing. We have a number of alternative outdoor activities that can be arranged depending on the conditions (please ask questions about these activities below). (See also questions about activities below).
A. One week prior to the start of the camp, we will inform you of the conditions at the camp site and whether or not skiing is allowed. We will try to give you as accurate a schedule as possible based on the conditions and weather forecast at that time. Even if we say "skiing is possible" one week before camp, we may cancel skiing for safety reasons if conditions change after that.
A. The camp will run regardless of whether skiing is available or not! In case there is not enough snow for skiing, we offer many alternative outdoor activities. In case there is not enough snow for skiing, we have plenty of alternative outdoor activities to choose from to make your child's camp experience one they will remember forever. If there is lingering snow, they can play in the snow, and even if there is no snow, they can enjoy the great outdoors! Either way, your child will enjoy a camp experience like no other.
A. If skiing is not an option, we offer many alternative activities to stimulate your child's curiosity!
Examples of activities:
・Scavenger Hunt: team bonding while exploring the wilderness
・Erectivities: gaga, rock climbing. Warwolves, snow play, etc.
・Winter Forest Games: a variety of fun games in a snowy setting
・Minute to Win It: a fun challenge that will test your spontaneous energy!
Much more than the above! Team building, English, plenty of outdoor activities, every day is different and fun. No two days are ever the same!
A. If you do not ski, we will refund all rental fees paid. However, if you do not ski, but play in the snow, you may use ski wear.
