Dave Paddock

 

Founder

🇺🇸 USA

Since organizing English Adventure’s first summer camps in 2003, Dave has continuously shared his vision for camp as a place for connection - with nature, with one another, and with the world.

Along the way he co-founded and remains an active supporter of NPO Mirai no Mori which provides life changing outdoor experiences to children living in care homes in Japan.

Over 20 years on, his passion for residential camping infuses his efforts to build and support the next generation of camp leadership.

 

Mike Daudlin

 

General Manager

🇨🇦 Canada

Mike first joined English Adventure in 2014 as a Team Leader. Quickly demonstrating exceptional skill working with both campers and other staff, he has served as Camp Manager and Director on the way to his current role as General Manager.

Mike combines technical excellence, superb people skills, a commitment to quality as he supports all departments and every aspect of our camps.

He is a certified Wilderness First Responder and ski patroller.

 

Grayson Cesena

 

Program Director

🇺🇸 USA

Since his start in 2020, Grayson has risen through the ranks as Team Leader, Camp Manager and Camp Director. His experience in all aspects of camp now helps him as Program Director, training and setting quality standards for each season’s camp team.

Equally passionate about both the fun and educational potential of camp, Grayson takes the lead in continuously evolving our curriculum to meet campers’ needs while giving them an unforgettable summer.

He is a certified Wilderness First Responder.

 

Siobhán Fletcher

 

Human Resources Manager

🇮🇪 Ireland

Siobhán joined English Adventure in 2017 for her first camp and worked as a Team Leader and Camp Manager before joining the full time team as HR Manager in 2019.

Siobhán enjoys building kind and capable teams and making staff feel confident and valued. She uses her many years of hands-on camp experience and excellent logistical and communication skills to carefully hand pick, vet, and support the incredible staff who interact with your children every day.

Meg, Ai & Tomo

 

Customer Support Team

🇯🇵 Japan

Our Customer Support Team consists of bilingual Japanese staff members who were raised and live in Japan. They are here to support families throughout their camp journey and serve as a bridge between our camp and families.

They regularly visit camp sessions to meet and interact with campers and staff and view the camp experience from a parent's perspective.

Some members are also camp parents. They believe in the positive impact of our camps and share a passion for English language learning and cross-cultural experiences.

 

Michiko Ono Paddock

 

Marketing / Travel Agent

🇯🇵 Japan

Michiko plays a central role in connecting Panorama GK with families, and local partners across Japan. Michiko has been instrumental in building strong community relationships with the town in Tsunan.

As a Certified Travel Services Manager, she oversees Panorama’s travel coordination and compliance. With a careful eye for detail, Michiko works in a serene and systematic manner to ensure every camper’s journey is smooth and safe. 

 

Satomi Nakazawa

 

Facility Administrator

Satomi keeps the day-to-day operations of our facility running smoothly behind the scenes. Her job includes managing vendor relationships, coordinating logistics, and overseeing many operational details and so she plays an essential role in maintaining a safe and organized environment for both campers and staff.

Satomi has deep family ties to Tsunan and deftly infuses the camp with local knowledge and support.  

 

Masashi Shida

 

Facility Operations Manager

🇯🇵 Japan

Masashi leads the maintenance and operation of our beautiful facility throughout all seasons.

During the snowy Tsunan winters, he has his hands full managing the heavy snow and grooming our ski slope. When the weather turns warmer, he takes care of the landscaping and groundskeeping.

His hard work ensures camp remains safe, functional, and beautiful. Thanks to Masashi’s strong work ethic and deep pride in the facility, he has created the environment that makes camp possible.

In addition to the core team, each camp season brings together team leaders, managers, activity leaders, facilities staff, nurses, and the kitchen operations team, all working together as one large team to run the camp. For example, our Summer Camp involves approximately 80 staff members.

During the winter season, an additional team of around 10 staff members is responsible for ski lift operations, snow removal, and slope grooming. Their work ensures the ski area is well maintained and operates safely throughout the season.
