Fall Weekend Camp: Challenge Plus

We’re putting together weekend camps for this Fall! As Summer changes to Fall, come to Tsunan to play!

Going Beyond the Classroom

Perfect for campers who are intermediate English speakers or who have studied English fairly extensively, but aren’t yet ready for a 100% immersive English environment, our new Challenge Plus program is a step up from our basic Challenge program.

Best for:

  • Kids who have spent several years attending regular eikaiwa classes
  • Kids who gained fluency at international preschool
  • Some returnee kids who have forgotten so much English that daily conversation is difficult

In order to increase speaking ability, it is essential for kids to have practical conversational practice outside of the structures of a classroom. At EA camps, campers find real usage for their English. From going over the day’s schedule to explaining basic games and camp activities, staff will use a lot of English with our Challenge Plus campers. Not only will campers get plenty of listening and speaking practice, but they will return home much more motivated to continue their English learning because of the comfort of speaking and listening at camp. And parents can be assured that campers will receive Japanese support at key moments when their English reaches its limits.

Campsite

Our campsite is located in the beautiful mountains of Niigata Prefecture, near the small town of Tsunan Machi.

Our little corner of the Japanese Alps is a perfect example of the variability of the seasons. Our campsite is blessed with forests, clear skies, and a lake.
