Ski Lessons

English Adventure’s private lodge is located right next to our gorgeous ski hill. Every level from beginner to advanced can enjoy skiing at Mountain Park Tsunan!

Our ski slopes are right next to our private lodge!

The main garende is right behind our lodge, and the easy slope for beginners is right in front. Your child can start skiing moments after they arrive at camp!

Our ski slope is run by English Adventure and it is not open to the public. That means campers don’t have to worry about crowded slopes or long lift lines.

Ski Lessons

We separate lessons depending on your child’s skiing ability.

All the videos shows below are of Immersion programs. Our ski instructors for Challenge campers will use Japanese and English, so campers can fully understand the instruction.

【Beginners】

For campers who have never skied before to campers who are just learning to ski, we will teach all the basics, beginning with putting on ski wear and boots properly!.

Then we will work on how to put on skis. Campers will practice walking with one ski, then both skis. They will learn how to get up when they fall on snow. As campers progress, they will practice climbing the hill with their skis on, making a slice of pizza (or pie) shape with skis, and stopping.

After getting used to it, they will learn how to make turns and how to control their speed.

After mastering the “pizza” shape, they will go to the bunny slope!
They will learn how to make turns and stop on skis and to control their speed.

Our bunny slope is easy and short, and this is perfect for beginners who starting to understand that skiing is fun!

【Intermediate】

Those who are ready for the higher level will go up the hill by using our ski lift. We will show them how to get on and off the lift safely.

They will learn how to continue making turns, controlling the size of turns, and using ski poles.

【Advanced】

Advanced skiers will learn how to control their speed, making parallel turns equally on both sides, and doing hockey stops.

Campers can enjoy hot chocolate after ski lessons!!

They will enjoy night sledding!

They will enjoy hot apple cider and roasted marshmallows!

Skiing and campers' personal growth

Skiing makes children more confident about themselves by achieving their goals.

They may feel frustrated at first not being able to ski as well as they want to. But trying and improving gives a sense of accomplishment. This experience will not only influence their feelings towards skiing, but their lives afterwards.
