About EA -- Meet the EA Staff -- Director's Profile -- EA and the Environment

Our top-flight staff are at the heart of the English Adventure experience. Along with experienced and caring teachers, the staff includes many year-round outdoor professionals. This combination of skills and experience guarantees the very best camp for your child.

Along with native-English speakers from around the world, bilingual Japanese assistants are always on duty at our camps. You can rest assured that your child will always get the support he or she needs.

Safety

Every English Adventure Camp Counselor holds current certification in First Aid and CPR, and attends refresher training yearly. Many staff have also completed Outdoor Risk Management training, an essential qualification for delivering a safe outdoor experience.

Lead Counselors

Brad Bennett and Yumi Kakui are veteran camp counselors, with the experience and qualifications to create a safe and exciting program for your child. Along with the rest of our staff, they'll help your child create wonderful memories.

Brad Bennett

Brad Bennett is an English instructor, outdoor guide and professional photographer who has been living in Japan for more than 13 years. He originally hails from Seattle, USA. You can find him riding his mountain bike along the banks of the Tama river and chasing after his six year old son Koh. Believing in the journey more than the destination, Brad continues to seek out and discover new and interesting outdoor places in Japan and Asia.

Yumi Kakui

Yumi Kakui has lived in Canada, Chile and Peru for a total of 12 years. She has camped, rafted, trekked, hiked, and ridden horses around the world. She loves to travel, especially to South America, where she continues to visit periodically.
