English Adventure and the Environment
Giving Back to Nature
English Adventure donates a portion of our profits to selected organizations that are working directly to preserve Japan's environment. Japan is blessed with a wealth of natural places where children can play, learn, and grow. But without our active protection, there's no guarantee that they will always be there to enjoy.
Because English Adventure is so closely tied to the nature of Japan, we feel a special responsibility to help preserve it.
Volunteer Work
English Adventure also organizes volunteer events, such as the Marine Day Beach Cleanup, where both our staff and participants can do something directly for the environment. Not only does it feel good to help out, it's also a just lot of fun! Along with self-respect and environmental awareness, we hope that English Adventure kids will develop a life-long desire to make Japan, and the world, a better place to live.
Low-impact Programs
Our purchasing, program planning, and office practices are decided with the Earth in mind. For example, by consciously avoiding overpackaged or disposable items, we produce a surprisingly small amount of trash, even during a one-week camp for dozens of kids. We hope that by seeing these conscious choices, and their positive results, kids will realize that they can make a difference every day.
